Their offense is solid, but they need that perimeter defender who can clamp down on the other team's best perimeter player. I like the addition of Rasual Butler and Craig Smith. Butler is a pure-shooter who has enough athletic ability to finish at the rim, but he's never been a defender. He just doesn't have the mentality to be expected to improve in that department. Smith is probably the only new addition that's produced the most significant contribution to the Clippers. I like how he uses his body so well for rebounds. He certainly gives the Lakers problems. If he manages to defend without fouling too much and develops that mid-range jumper. I don't how he can't crack the starting lineup in the future.
